WELCOME TO PERRY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!

On behalf of the PTA and the entire Perry Elementary community, welcome you to our school! Below you will find some helpful information that will help you navigate through the enrollment process and keep you in touch with our school's communication channels.

Depending on whether you are new to the District or new to Perry Elementary School, the necessary paperwork will vary. For starters, you will need to submit a copy of a current utility bill, phone bill, or rental contract for proof of residency. 

Below is information you will find helpful in learning more about our school:

  • Sunday Message  is sent through school messenger and is sent out every Sunday of the school year. Previous Sunday Messages from the year can also be found on this page. 

  • School Supply List 2023-2024  - A list of school supplies is unique to each grade level and classroom. You can see a list of supplies posted on our website, under the classroom tab, corresponding to each grade level.

  • Parent Handbook - Take some time to read through this before the first day of school. Access the Parent Handbook here.

  • PTAPrimeTime is free to all participating families and operates before and/or after school every regular school day.

Important Dates:

  • Pledge of Allegiance- The pledge is recited every morning before the Student Guided Wellness over the school intercom.

If you are new to the San Diego area, here are a few suggestions that may lend to meeting other Perry Elementary children during the summertime...

  • SD Family Magazine is a great resource for happenings around San Diego. We keep this monthly magazine stocked at the front desk in the office. In the meantime, you can browse the events calendar here.

  •  Bayview Hills Youth and Teen CenterChild & Youth Programs operate eight housing area community centers and offer a wide variety of recreation programs for children ages five (enrolled in Kindergarten or first grade) to eighteen.

  • Sign up for School Messenger- SchoolMessenger is a web-based mass communications tool utilized by San Diego Unified School District. The system enables the district and our school to personally communicate parents/guardians to support emergency preparedness, school community involvement and student attendance.

  • Check out our after-school program - PRIMTETIME

  • Become a volunteer - This is the best way to meet other parents and become a part of the Perry Elementary community!
