Arrival and Dismissal

STUDENT ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAl

Parents should ensure students are following a safe route to school. Use the crosswalk at the corner.
No student should arrive prior to 8:45 am. This is to help ensure student safety as there is no school-provided adult supervision on campus prior to 8:45 am (with the exception of “Primetime” (private childcare company that is provided by the District) students who begin their program at 6:45 am). Students who are not in Primetime will be allowed on campus at 8:45 am. All students will access the campus through a single point entrance on the east side (close to the crosswalk and stop sign). Students who arrive late to school will not be admitted to class without a tardy slip. Students need to go to the front office for a tardy slip.

At 8:55 am the first bell will ring and students will be lined up next to their classroom where their teachers will pick them up. Teachers will meet students at 8:55 am. At 9:00 am students will be in classes ready to start learning. At 9:05am the arrival gate will be secured as all students should be in class.
Teachers will pick up classes in front of the classroom or the assigned areas on campus. (Your child’s teacher will have more specific instructions.)
Any students arriving late will need to go through the main office to get a tardy slip.
Any essential visitors will need to have clearance and obtain a visitor’s pass.
Once students have arrived on campus, they are not to leave until dismissal.
Students must stay in line outside their classroom in the morning and not be wandering around campus.
The front area of the school is a bus zone. Please no parking in this area.

After School

Please ensure that your child/children have clear directions from you, the parents, regarding what to do when school ends.
Please communicate with your child who will be picking them up. The front office will not be responsible for relaying messages to the students.
Students will be picked up in front of classrooms.
Students in the Primetime program will report to the Auditorium and students in UTK/Kindergarten will be picked up by a Primetime staff member. Primetime parents will be able to pick up their child by calling Primetime.
Students who are not in Primetime will wait in front of their classrooms. The gate at the front of the school (east side of campus) will be unlocked at 3:25 for UTK/K and 3:35 pm for 1st - 5th Grade. (1:20pm for UTK/K and 1:30pm for 1st-5th grade on minimum days). Parents will be able to pick them up promptly at 3:25/3:35 pm. Any student who is not picked up by 3:45 pm will be taken to the main office and parents will be called. The arrival/dismissal gate will be closed at 3:45 pm.

We ask that prior to dismissal parents wait for their children in front of the school. Please refrain from calling the office, but dojo your child’s teacher instead to let them know if you will be running late.
For their safety, students should be picked up promptly or no later than 10 minutes after dismissal.
